Speechwriters rock my socks
Yay! I saw the Speechwriters a week ago at the Motley and they are still smokin'! I'm so glad they're not too cool to still play Claremont.

Great stuff from the speechwriters!
Sound Quality: 4 out of 5. I was the taper and i'm really glad I used mics instead of soundboard patching. the band comes through pretty good and the high level of audience energy and participation really adds to the enjoyability of the show and makes it sound really good. A little distant, but not bad sounding at all.
Show Quality: 5 of 5 stars. Dave and Micha do not dissapoint, and this night was no exception. playing the second of a 2 night san diego stint, about 12 dudes that came the first night came the second night, all in their SWLLC shirts and were just making a roucous the entire time, but in a good way. they really brought the energy of the show up and got everone really into the show. the setlist was amazing, with stuff from both albums, as well as unrealsed stuff. The dudes played amazingly, and this show by far blows out of the water the previous september twiggs show. If this is your first exposure to the speechwriters, download this show and be blown away for acoustic rock goodness!
